In Benua Raya تاناه تڠڬارا, the Sea Queen, Ratu Mayang Sari راتو ماياڠ ساري (portrayed by Maya Karin), gifted a magical wavy sword, the Keris Matahari كريس ماتاحاري, to Merong مروڠ in order to acknowledge his right to rule, serve and protect all of Benua Tenggara. His distant descendant, King Deramang دراماڠ (portrayed by Stephen Rahman-Hughes) was later chosen as the next Keeper of the Keris Matahari, but his younger brother, Prince Musang موساڠ (portrayed by Syed
Nahar), posed a serious threat to him. Acknowledging Musang wanted both the Keris Matahari and the throne for his own glory, Deramang quickly escaped with the sword and kept it safely hidden. After many years under Musang’s tyrannical rule, a kampong teenager named Kelana كلانا (portrayed by Fahad Iman) unexpectedly becomes chosen as the new Keeper. Together with the Pendekar Setia ڤنديكار ستيا warriors and Kenyalang كڽالاڠ the guardian hornbill, they have all pledged
to restore justice, peace and unity to a nation in turmoil.
